Why Colombian chocolate
Why Colombian chocolate makes a great souvenir
At Kakaówa you'll find the taste of Colombia in two ways. Coffee from Huila, a Tabi variety and one of the smoothest in the country, to brew at home or inside a bonbon. And fine flavor cacao, among the finest in the world, made into chocolate. No need to look for a separate handicraft: the box itself is a keepsake of Colombia, illustrated with its culture and nature, with the country's flavor inside.

Packing tips
How to pack chocolate in your luggage
Our boxes are designed to travel. The chocolate keeps until the best-before date on the pack: bonbons up to 4 months and bars up to 1 year from production. Just keep it away from heat.
- Avoid long sun exposure, for example in a parked car or by a sunny window.
- Going somewhere warm? Store it somewhere cool, or sealed in the fridge, and take it out a while before eating.
- On the plane, hand luggage is the coolest place.
- For many people, bars are the best choice: flat, long-lasting and easy to share.
Most countries allow chocolate for personal use, but rules vary: check your destination before you fly. Tesoros Colombianos includes one liqueur bonbon (mistela).
